H6 error on AC Gree
So yeah, Jogja's temperature these days is really barbaric. It didn't rain too, and during the day at the house it felt like a free sauna. Change clothes many times, and air conditioning of course, non-stop. And that's where the problem starts. One of the air conditioners in the house, GREE model GWC05MOO2 1/2 PK, broke. Initially, the air conditioner dripped quite hard, which meant that condensation had occurred in the piping. I still leave it alone because the AC is still functioning normally.
Two days ago, the AC started acting up. When turned on, the AC will only be on for about one minute, and then it stops and the display shows an H6 error. From the search results on the internet, the error H6 indicates that the outdoor unit fan motor is not working due to no feedback from the indoor unit.
The Gree AC that I bought is 2 and a half years old, and after I checked the warranty note, it turned out that the AC warranty was 3 years, so I could still get a guarantee for this AC. Then I contacted the Gree Whatsapp number listed on the official Gree Indonesia website. It was Saturday and my WhatsApp was replied to by customer service, by informing me of the report number and I was asked to wait 2x24 hours to be contacted further.
Next Tuesday, PIC Gree Jogja called me and informed me that repair services to my house could only be done no later than Friday because of the tight schedule. Okay.
Friday morning, the AC technician came and checked, and concluded that the only error that occurred was due to the dirty air conditioner, causing the air circulation to be not optimal. It's true that my AC has never been cleaned since I bought it. The condition is very, very dirty and the solution to the H6 error is only the air conditioner that needs cleaning. The technician then cleaned the air conditioner and there was a fee for cleaning because it was out of warranty.
So, if you find an H6 error on your air conditioner, maybe the solution is to clean the air conditioner first.
